Big Ben Leads Arrows To Victory
Arrows U18’s 64-41 Durham Wildcats II
Ben Wright’s 21 points secured a home victory for the Arrows against Durham Wildcats II by 64–41. The Arrows took all quarters by a slender margin which added up to a comfortable win.
Ben Wright scored 13 of the Arrows 19 points in the opening quarter through a combination of finishing off some clever approach play and powerful rebounding to help the Arrows to a 19–13 advantage.
Troy Richards was prominent in the second quarter in the second quarter while a nice three point play on the half time buzzer from Asad Shaikh left the Arrows with a solid 34–21 interval advantage.
The Arrows put the game away in the third quarter as Ben Wright and Oliver Norfolk combined repeatedly to score against the Wildcats zone defence. Connor McFarlane also made a nice basket and provided a defensive presence as the Arrows closed the quarter ahead by 51–32.
The Arrows were in control and with Asad Shaikh making a couple of baskets and good work from summer signing Isaac Sorefan, the Arrows ran out winners by 64–41.
